Hello, you gorgeous lot! 👋
Yes, I'm still here. Yes, the studio is still standing (just about). And yes, I have approximately 47 half-finished projects on my cutting table and absolutely zero regrets about it.
It's been a while since I've popped in here to say hello, and honestly? That's because I've been head-down, scissors-in-hand, doing what I do best, making slightly unhinged, completely joyful clothing for the most brilliant people on the internet.
So grab a brew, because here's what's been going on in the Northampton studio lately.
What's Been Happening Behind the Seams
Every single piece that leaves this studio has been touched by exactly one pair of hands. Mine. I design it, cut it, sew it, press it, label it, package it, and drop it off at the post office myself, usually while muttering something under my breath and wearing thread cuttings like confetti.
That's not a complaint, by the way. That's just an average Tuesday.
The handmade process means things take time, and I'll never apologise for that. What I will do is show you a little of what goes into each piece, because I think when you see the cutting table covered in fabric, the pins everywhere, and the slightly manic energy of a one-woman studio in full swing, you understand why your order means so much to me.

Summer Is Here and So Are New Things
I've been working on some new pieces that are very much giving "children's TV presenter who also has excellent taste" energy, which, if you know Pin Clothing, you know is exactly the brief.
Think bold prints, fun silhouettes, and the kind of colours that make people stop you in the street. Because life is too short for beige, and you, my friend, are not a beige person.
New pieces are landing in the shop very soon, keep your eyes peeled and maybe set an alarm, because the runs are small (zero waste means I don't cut more than I need!) and they do go quickly.

Zero Waste, Zero Guilt
Speaking of which, a little reminder of something I'm really proud of. Every piece is made to order or in very small batches, which means virtually no fabric waste. No mountains of unsold stock. No landfill guilt.
Just carefully considered, lovingly made clothing that was meant to exist.
It's not the fastest way to run a business. But it's the right way, for the planet, and for you. (& it means i get to make other cool things out of the offcuts like these cute, reusable face pads!)
Super Seconds Festival - Coming Soon!
If you haven't heard of the Super Seconds Festival, allow me to introduce you to your new favourite event. It's a celebration of handmade goods with tiny imperfections, the kind of "seconds" that are honestly barely noticeable but mean you can get something brilliant at a reduced price.
I'll be taking part again this year, which means you'll be able to get your hands on some Pin Clothing pieces at special prices. Dates to follow, watch this space (and my socials, where I am considerably more active than on this blog, I'll be honest with you).

A Note from Me to You
My keyring labels say things like "No idea what I'm doing" and "Stressed, but blessed" - and while that's very much a joke, it's also... not entirely a joke? Running a one -woman handmade business is wild. It's chaotic and exhausting and occasionally I question every decision I've ever made.
And then someone sends me a photo of themselves wearing something I made, absolutely beaming, and I remember exactly why I do this.
So thank you. Genuinely. For buying handmade, for supporting a tiny studio in Northampton, and for being the kind of person who dresses like a children's TV presenter. You're my people.
Right, back to the cutting table. Those seams won't sew themselves.
